Brady Klein Weissman, LLP, News April 1, 2024. When Peggy Brady, Mitchell Klein and Steven Weissman started Brady Klein & Weissman, LLP they were unsure of how the firm would prosper. Twenty-five years later, the firm has become
a well-respected and successful place addressing the legal needs of its large and diverse clientele in both New York and California.
The practice of law has changed over the course of these 25 years, particularly as a result of the pandemic, and the partners have determined that continuing to operate as a small firm at its
present office space no longer made sense. With more of our work with clients and the courts being done remotely, it made sense to seek another option.
As a result, the partners of Brady Klein & Weissman have decided to join the firm of Warshaw Burstein, LLP, a 60-attorney firm with its New York offices located at 575 Lexington Ave, New Yo r k , NY 10022. Warshaw, with roots dating back to 1927, turned out to be a great fit for our attorneys, as they already had excellent trusts and estates, matrimonial, litigation, reproductive law, and real estate departments, the primary areas of practice of the attorneys at Brady Klein & Weissman.
In addition, Warshaw attorneys practice and have expertise in a number of additional areas, including corporate transactional law, immigration law, elder law and employment law, areas in which our clients often had need for counsel, but would require us to refer them to outside counsel. With our association with Warshaw, we will be able to offer services in these areas in-house. This transition will happen as of April 1, 2024.
Lawrence Kotik and John DelGrosso will also be moving as Partners to Warshaw Burstein, where they will be continuing their practices in (i) real estate, coop and condominium law, and
(ii) trusts and estates, respectively. And our long-time legal assistant, Sally Ann Montague will also be moving with us to help in the areas of trusts and estates and real estate. Steven Weissman will continue to travel to California, as necessary, to meet with Los Angeles area-based clients.
We are very excited about this move and believe that our clients will enjoy and benefit from the continuity of the attorneys with whom they have worked over the years, as well as the expertise of our new colleagues at Warshaw Burstein.
